The launch of Formerlover.

I’m very happy to announce a new musical project I have undertaken… and our first release.

Formerlover are a duo of sleaze dub enthusiasts, in love with echo and bass. The brainchild of Sofia Hedblom, a singer and fashion stylist originally from west coast Sweden, and her partner the renowned music producer, dj, and artist Justin Robertson. They effortlessly blend elements of reggae and Lagos disco with the dark sonic underbelly of lo fi house, occupying the twilight region between a tropical sound system dance and an inner city basement, where nights turn into mornings and back again.
Correction dub is a playful take on a late night chat line conversation, where humiliation and desire go hand in hand. Simultaneously seductive and sinister, the spacious frequencies bend as the hypnotic groove takes hold, transporting you to a sleazy, forbidden world where your soul is on the line.

It comes as part of the excellent Viscera compilation ‘Galactic service broadcasting volume 1″. All profits go to the NHS charities together, urgent Covid- 19 appeal fund.
